Donations
to CrossRoads Ministries are NOT tax deductible
Important
Information CrossRoads Ministries is not
a 501 (c) (3) non-profit ministry; therefore your donations to
CrossRoads Ministries are not deductible on your tax returns.
Reason After
spending some time in prayer and counsel with ministries that
have the same convictions as we do in ministry style, it has
become of great concern to us that a day is coming when
governmental organizations will use 501(c) (3) tax status as
leverage to keep churches, religious organizations and
Biblically-based ministries from fulfilling their call to, Preach
the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct,
rebuke and encourage--with great patience and careful
instruction. (2 Timothy 4:2) The New
Testament warns us, For the time will come when men
will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their
own desires, they will gather around them a great number of
teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.
(2 Timothy 4:2-3) Not having a 501(c) (3)
status/approval will enable us to keep our focus on the call set
before us when such a time comes and confront the culture as the
Lord leads.
Biblical
Guidance for Giving to CrossRoads Ministries: This website
gives Biblical instructions and full accountability on our call,
our beliefs and our vision. We have made every effort to
secure a trust with you that we are fully trained and strive to Do
[our] best to present [ourselves] to God as one approved, a
workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles
the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:15)
We
feel this is our opportunity to share with you some key truths
from Gods Word regarding financial partnership with us:
1 Timothy 5:17-18 says, Let the elders who rule well
be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who labor
in preaching and teaching. For Scripture
says, You shall not muzzle an ox when it treads out
the grain, and The laborer deserves his
wages. (English Standard Version) The English
Standard Version gives us this truth found in 1 Corinthians 9:14,
In the same way, the Lord commanded that those who
proclaim the gospel should get their living by the gospel.
These
Holy Spirit inspired words written through the apostle Paul are
the very heart of Christ (Luke 10:7-8; Matthew 10:10) regarding
His servants who proclaim the privileges and responsibilities of
the gospel in this dispensation.
The
Holy Spirit led congregation does not set its heart on buildings
and programs, but on servants of the Lord who have proven
themselves faithful to the Lord Jesus Christ and the Body of
Christ through sacrificial preparation and service. The resources
of prayer, assistance and finances are to be directed to Holy
Spirit anointed servants of the Lord. (1 Corinthians 12-14; Larry
