“Prolonging the Days

of Christ”

  Becoming the Lord’s Messengers to the next generation begins with understanding and living out the whole counsel of God’s Word. 

  Holy Spirit illumination of what Isaiah wrote about Christ sets the heartbeat for the zeal of the child of God to reach lost souls with the gospel of Christ.  Isaiah, seven hundred years before Christ was born, lets us see something of Jesus’ suffering and a very special promise made by God to His Son.

 “…the Lord laid upon Him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed and afflicted… …it was the Lord’s will to crush Him and cause Him to suffer and though the Lord makes His life a guilt offering, He will see His offspring and prolong His days…”  (Isaiah 53)  

  The Word of God is clear, Born Again Christians are adopted into the family of God through true faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Galatians 3:14 says, “He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.” Romans 8:14 says, “…those who lead by the Spirit of God are sons of God.” 

  We would propose to you that the church that gets used of God to carry the message of Christ on to the next generation has Christians who grasp four powerful truths found in the whole of Scripture.  Just what are those truths?

  Over the next four weeks Pastor and Bible Teacher Terry Laughlin will be teaching four essentials truths enabling Christians to become messengers of Christ to the next generation.
